  This is one of my usual breakfast stops after my morning walk on the beach.  The quality and service are good, as is typical with Starbucks.  You definitely want to order ahead on the app though, they can get incredibly busy.  This is especially true during tourist season.  Parking can also be a challenge, especially later in the day as the Oceanfront gets busy.  As an alternative for locals bound by a car, there is also a Starbucks inside the Harris Teeter at 28th/Arctic, only a few blocks away with more parking.  There's also one at Hilltop, about 3 miles up Laskin Rd.  If you're on foot, and order in advance though this one is nice.  They also have a few outside tables on the sidewalk.

  During my visit to VA Beach, I was glad to find this location within 8 blocks of my hotel.  So needless to say this stop was incorporated into my morning walks.  Sidewalk to and boardwalk back.
  
  The location runs with efficiency as it is the only stand alone location on the actual strip, if you will.  Yes there are the placebo locations in the bottom of the hotels but any real Starbucks head knows these locations are not all created equal.
  
  Lines move fast even though it can get kinda long due to the beach patrons coupled with the location regulars who are coming it to get their daily espresso fix. Baristas were all friendly and made the wait worth it as they greeted you with a smile.
  
  No time to wait?  Mobile ordering is available as well. The location is kind of off to the side but not all together miss-able.
  
  Looking for a sign?  There's one on the sidewalk as well!

  Eh. Sometimes they are quick... other times they are not. Most of the time I walk right in and pick up my mobile order, but sometimes I walk in after doing a mobile order and wait an additional twenty minutes. Ordering breakfast or lunch items doesn't run smoothly using mobile order for this location. Still, the Starbucks is clean and the staff is fairly friendly.

  I love this place! I use my phone to order and pay for my drinks since this place is always so busy. It's the perfect place to stop into for a board walk stroll. Deff use mobile order and pick up unless you have time to kill.

  For a place that has to juggle two very different types of customers (beach goers on foot who want to relax; busy folks in metered parking who need to grab and go), they really have their system down to a science. The servers are friendly and on top of their duties. Even though I ordered at the counter (instead of in the mobile app) and they had several other customers in the store, they got my drink and food out to me in under five minutes.
  
  I hope their leadership knows how good of a team they have created. Other Starbucks locations should take note.
